We are the Alfreton Member Group of Cycling UK. We organise rides to suit all ages and abilities, including:-

Easy Riders Rides take place
at weekends throughout the year, and on
Thursday evenings from May to
September. Distance ridden will be tailored to the ability of those
riding. These rides are designed for those who are new to cycling,
returning to cycling, recovering from injuries, or those who just enjoy
a slow, social ride with a cafe stop. Short Rides take place at weekends and on Wednesday evening. They are a step up from easy riders, but are still ridden at a gentle pace, with refreshment stops. Day Rides are the traditional club run. A full day covering 50 - 80 miles at a moderate pace with stops for elevenses, lunch and afternoon tea. Rides take place at weekends and on Tuesdays throughout the year. Audax Rides are enter events organised under Audax UK rules. These are non-competitive rides over distances ranging from 50 to 1400Km, to be ridden within set speed limits. Rides must be entered at least two weeks in advance. The member group also organises it own events. Touring Rides involve an overnight stay, normally in Youth Hostels, hotels or B&B. Riders carry their luggage on their bikes. These include short weekend breaks and longer trips. We have visited a variety of destinations at home and abroad. |
